Why you should size both hands individually

It’s surprisingly common for your nails to be different sizes on each hand, but it’s something many people don’t realise when sizing press-on nails.

The dominant hand may have nails that are half a size to one or even two sizes larger than those on the non-dominant hand.

The outlines show the difference in size between matching nails on each hand, with the right fingernail being significantly larger than the left one.

This means sizing one hand assuming that those measurements mirror onto the other hand will result in a poor fit when you come to wear your set.

Always size every nail individually on both hands. Make sure to double-check each finger rather than assuming that your sizes will be the same across both hands.

If you’re in between sizes, or you’re not sure which to choose, it’s generally better to size up. You can gently file a larger nail to get a closer fit, but you can’t make a nail that’s too small to fit properly.
