Understanding soft gel tip shapes: Natural-fit vs Sculpted
When it comes to full-cover gel tips, not all shapes are created the same. The two most common options are natural-fit and sculpted tips.
Natural-fit gel tips
Natural-fit tips are designed with a flatter curve, making them the most versatile option for a wide range of nail beds. They sit comfortably on nails that are naturally flatter or have a gentle curve, which is why they're often considered the most universal choice.
Because of their flexibility and natural appearance, natural-fit tips work well for most people and create a seamless, comfortable fit.
Sculpted gel tips
Structured tips feature a more pronounced arch, often referred to as a higher apex or deeper C-curve. They're designed for nail beds that naturally have a stronger curve from sidewall to sidewall.
For clients with highly curved nail beds, a structured tip can provide a closer fit with less need for customization. The added arch can also create a more sculpted appearance.
However, structured tips may not sit flush on flatter nail beds and can sometimes leave gaps if the natural nail doesn't match the curve.
Which does Talaskye use?
Talaskye exclusively uses natural-fit gel tips. They provide the most universal and best fit for the widest variety of nail beds and give the most natural-looking finish. If you have particularly curved nail beds, a structured tip may be a suitable option elsewhere, but it is not currently offered as part of the Talaskye collection.
